I’ve been around here for about two weeks so far, its been a great two weeks. This mixtape has a few songs I’ve posted on the blog here, and some that I haven’t. I hope you’ll enjoy, and thanks to all you sixty-seven followers out there for, well, following, and listening to the artists posted.
Tracks:
1. Anniversary Song - Dustin Wong
-Great track, great way to start off this tape. I love Dustin Wong of Ponytail and his guitar work, its simply incredible to see live.
2. Babe - Evenings
- A current favorite of mine, and the tumblr world. Right over from Charlottesville, VA, hope to see them live sometime, great stuff if you haven’t heard.
3. Whenever You’re Awake - Camden
- This band came as a shock to me. Really powerful composition in their music, take a listen if you haven’t already and pickup Vale for free on their bandcamp.
4. Lo, in the Leaves - Happiest Lion
- Reminds me of an old favorite Ryan Adams, its the music you can always fall back on.
5. Holy Rome - Bathcrones
- This is just awesome, instrumental stuff, gets you through the day quick with this in the background.
6. Sleepings - TUNGS
- Straight from Richmond, VA, their album just came out today actually, they are playing a show in about an hour, might drive down and see it. Get their album for free on their bandcamp as well.
7. Listening - Everybody Yay
- Two good friends of mine, Robbie and Ethan, have made awesome music consistently for the past few years together, they hit a great sound not too long ago. Check them out if you haven’t.
8. Peat - Moss of Aura
- His beats are just incredible, awesome to see live, he just sits on the ground and drinks Budweiser, its pretty rad.
9. Let Me Know - Menomena
- A new track from Menomena, really powerful, if for some reason you haven’t listened, definitely do so.
10. Vision Tunnels - Brothertiger
- A great way to end this mixtape. Brothertiger is just awesome, check out his stuff on his myspace, it’ll get you hooked.
If you are one of the artists on this mixtape and would like a song removed, please let me know.
