My Bad - Guitars
A wonderful track from some Brooklyn Natives, Guitars. They’ve been reviewed as, “..She & Him with a lot more balls.” I support that review, check them out on tumblr, and some more recordings can be found here.

Kodachrome (demo) - Guilty Ghosts

A favorite track of mine for a month or so now, Kodachrome, I was shocked to see Guilty Ghosts in my inbox, and honored. Some great ambient tunes are recorded in Brooklyn by Tristan O’Donnell. Using some wonderful layered instruments, Guilty Ghosts creates some wonderful tracks that in my mind come off as unrivaled. Check out Guilty Ghosts, and purchase the cassette, Enigma Variations.

Dream Talkin’ - Family Trees

Father Daughter Records is rocking my face off as of late with some wonderful tracks. They just sent over Family Trees Dream Talkin’, you should definitely take a listen, then head over here and purchase their 7” if you haven’t already. Hopefully there are still some around when I get to Baltimore and get a record player set up in my room, that would just be marvelous.
The sounds coming from Family Trees make me feel like a pretty little girl on the inside. Just so you know. Check it out.

Light Pollution - Good Feelings
I blogged the music video for this tune a while back when I found out Light Pollution was opening for Neon Indian in Pittsburgh. I got the opportunity to see them again when they played with Cults at Skullys last Tuesday. I’ve never seen anyone pound the drums like Matt Evert (far right) before. His style reminds me so much of Animal from the Muppets, flying sticks, intense expression and all. Keep an eye on jackinthepocket.com for my interview with them in the coming weeks.
Light Pollution’s debut album, Apparitions, is available now through Carpark Records.
This right here. This is nice.
